WHO WE ARE

We can all stand up for someone who can't stand up for themselves

The Wilkes Bashford Helping Hands Emergency Fund (WBHHEF) was created in April 2016 to provide “first call” emergency solutions for women and their children in the San Francisco Bay area. Former Partners Ending Domestic Abuse Board Members and now Honorary Advisory Board Members of WBHHEF include U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris and California Assemblymember David Chui. In loving memory, friends of the late Wilkes Bashford, including Roselyne Swig, the original founder of Partners Ending Domestic Abuse, former President JaMel Perkins and Vice President Julie B. Harkins, former Board Member Sheila Von Driska and Jeff Garelick, General Manager Wilkes Bashford, are carrying on Wilkes’s legacy of helping San Francisco Bay Area women and children and all victims of domestic violence. Wilkes was also a board member and renowned for defining style in San Francisco for over
50 Years.

With Wilkes’s passion to improve lives, the Mitchell family shares a strong commitment to the community and is excited to be a part of the Wilkes Bashford Helping
Hands Fund.

Partners Ending Domestic Abuse stated “Abuse is NEVER in Fashion” and this belief will now carry on.
